Courses
General English Courses
General English courses are held throughout the year. These courses
run from Monday to Friday, three hours a day. On arrival, the students
sit for a placement test in order to enable us to assess and place them
in a class according to their level of proficiency in English. We offer
classes at the following levels:
Beginners (or near-beginners), Elementary,
Lower-Intermediate, Intermediate,
Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.
Business English
We offer Business English Courses in small groups and on a one-to-one
basis. Students are encouraged to inform the ISE of their special
Business requirements on enrolment so as to enable us to tailor-make the
programme according to their needs.
The course aims at making students proficient in the use of English
for their professional lives.
Courses in preparation of International English Language Testing System
(IELTS)
This is a long-term course intended for prospective students wishing
to obtain entry qualification to English speaking Universities, including
the University of Malta. This is a stepping-stone for students from

of their level of proficiency to enrol in the Foundation course at the
University of Malta or other universities.
English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
We offer students English for specialised courses on a one-to-one basis
or as closed groups with prior arrangement. ESP courses are offered for
Computer and Communication Studies, Engineering, Law, Environmental Studies,
Commerce, Architecture, etc.

We offer private tuition to students interested in General English
combined with ESP on a one-to-one basis to suit the studentsí particular
requirements.
Teaching English as a Foreign language (TEFL)
